Sulphur (MSM Powder)

Sulphur is derived from dietary protein in meat, fish and eggs. Vegetable sources include coconut and olive oil and cruciferous vegetables such as brussel sprouts and broccoli. Vegetable sources are always dependent on the soil content of sulphur.

Hair, skin and nails are made of a protein called keratin, which is made up of the sulphur containing amino acid cysteine. The sulphur amino acid bond in keratin is strong giving it its strength Cartilage and connective tissue also contain sulphur which gives them flexibility.

Sulphur is also required for the sulphation pathway in the liver which is one of the major detoxification pathways in the body It is also important for the production of glutathione , a powerful antioxidant in every cell. After the age of 20, glutathione levels start decreasing by about 1% a year.

MSM (Methylsulphonomethane) is a naturally occurring organic sulphur compound found in plant and animal sources Metabolics supplies MSM in capsule, powder and liquid form
