What is Petabolics Vitamin B12 Cyanocobalamin Liquid ?

Petabolics Vitamin B12 Cyanocobalamin Liquid is water-soluble vitamin B12, that plays an important role in many physiological processes including cellular metabolism, DNA synthesis, amino acid metabolism, fatty acid metabolism and erythrocyte formation. In the body, cyanocobalamin is converted to the physiological forms methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin. Vitamin B12 has been used globally in animal nutrition for decades. Because of its long history of use and its established nutritional role in domestic animals, cyanocobalamin is regarded as effective in meeting animal requirements when administered orally. We have formulated Petabolics Vitamin B12 cyanocobalamin liquid using raw materials released against established monographs. We have independently chemically tested our B12 to confirm its identity and then manufactured our Petabolics Vitamin B12, cyanocobalamin liquid using highly purified water produced using reverse osmosis (RO) technology.

Who is Petabolics Vitamin B12, cyanocobalamin liquid for?

Petabolics Vitamin B12 Cyanocobalamin Liquid is a high quality energy supplement for dogs, cats and horses, but it is suitable for use in all animal species.

Why use Petabolics Vitamin B12 Cyanocobalamin Liquid?

Vitamin B12 (also known as cobalamin) is important for many aspects of your animal’s health. It’s crucial for energy, a healthy nervous system and brain function, as well as for the formation and growth of blood cells. It’s also involved in intestinal health, and can help to maintain healthy digestion. Two vitamin B12-dependent enzymes play crucial roles in two metabolic pathways essential for energy production: methylmalonyl-CoA mutase and 5-methyltetrahydrofolatehomocysteine methyltransferase (methionine synthase). Methylmalonyl-CoA mutase facilitates the conversion of methylmalonyl-CoA into succinyl-CoA, which contributes to the release of energy from proteins and fatty acids. Methionine synthase aids in the conversion of homocysteine to methionine.

These processes are vital for meeting the energy needs of organisms. Animals, including livestock and pets, may not receive sufficient vitamin B12 from their diet due to inadequate intake or poor quality of feed. This can be particularly relevant for animals fed diets low in animal products, which are the primary natural source of vitamin B12. Some animals may have conditions or disorders that impair their ability to absorb vitamin B12 from their diet effectively. Certain physiological conditions, such as growth, pregnancy, lactation, or strenuous physical activity, can increase an animal's demand for vitamin B12. In such cases, supplementation may be necessary to meet the increased metabolic needs. Certain diseases or medical conditions can affect an animal's ability to utilise or store vitamin B12 effectively.

Chronic diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, or infections may lead to vitamin B12 deficiency or depletion, necessitating supplementation to support recovery and overall health. Older animals may have reduced efficiency in absorbing and utilising vitamin B12, leading to an increased risk of deficiency. Some of the common symptoms of low vitamin B12 levels in animals may include general weakness, reduced activity levels, lethargy, poor appetite, weight loss (despite having adequate food intake), vomiting and diarrhoea. It's important to note that these symptoms can vary depending on the severity and duration of vitamin B12 deficiency, as well as the individual animal's species, age, and overall health status If you suspect that your animal may be experiencing symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency, it's essential to consult with a veterinarian for proper diagnosis and treatment.
