Garlic Powder
Garlic has been used as an ancient Indian remedy for over 5000 years and ancient Chinese remedy for over 3000 years for immune function. During World War 1 when medicines were scarce garlic was used as a natural antibiotic. Garlic contains 40 organic compounds and over 100 bioavailable chemicals. In 1994 Adesh K. Jain, M.D. of the Clinical Research Center at the Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, reported how garlic can lower blood levels of "total cholesterol" and specifically LDL cholestesterol.
Garlic (Allium Sativum) contains a sulphur-bearing compound called allicin that gives garlic its typical pungent taste and smell.
In January 2012 a research paper published in the International Journal of Environment and Pollution (Negi, Satpathy et al. 2012)
Demonstrated that lead and other heavy metallic environmental pollutants (such as Mercury, and Cadmium) are absorbed by garlic biomass, suggesting it is very important to use a source that has been tested for heavy metal residues for purity.
All Metabolics Garlic supplements are independently tested for heavy metal residues to ensure purity.
