Why Choose Metabolics Omega 3, 6 and 9?
Metabolics Omega 3, 6 and 9 capsule supplies a balanced combination of these fatty acids from Fish Oil, Flaxseed Oil and Sunflower oil with a little Vitamin E to prevent oxidation of the oils.
A broad-spectrum source of the Omega 3 6 9 fatty acids: a combination of ALA, EPA and DHA omega 3s, along with linoleic acid and oleic acid, providing a significant dose of these poly- and mono-unsaturated fats. With added vitamin E to support their effectiveness.
These Omega 3 6 9 soft gel capsules are a broad-spectrum source of the primary essential fatty acids.
Omega 3 polyunsaturated fats are important for cognitive, visual and cardiovascular health, helping to control cholesterol levels and blood pressure. Omegas 6 and 9, when used as a replacement in the diet for saturated fatty acids, can have a generally beneficial impact on blood pressure and cholesterol balance and so also aid cardiovascular health.
Omega 3 6 9 Capsules
The western diet typically has a high ratio of omega 6 to omega 3 fatty acids. A lot has been said about the importance of improving this ratio in favour of omega 3s. Recent research backs this view to a point, but it is becoming clear that better outcomes for cardiovascular health are achieved by re-balancing the ratio through increasing Omega 3 intakes – and especially DHA omega 3s.
Overall, replacing saturated fats with monounsaturated fats (such as omega 9), and particularly polyunsaturated fats (such as omega 3 and omega 6), is widely regarded as delivering improvements in health.
Each Omega 3 6 9 capsule also contains 10 mg, 83% of the EU RDA, of vitamin E. Vitamin E is an important antioxidant that can improve the effectiveness of fatty acids by protecting them from the possibly damaging effects of oxidation.
Please note: This formulation has recently changed (16.01.2020) It now contains an increased amount of EPA 72 mg and DHA 48 mg (Previously it contained EPA 60 mg and DHA 35 mg.
