Suitable For
Ursolic Acid is a compound found in apple skin, oregano, rosemary and thyme. Brown fat is metabolically active fat that is involved in thermoregulation, creating heat by burning calories. Stimulating and increasing brown fat can increase the calorie consumption of the body. Research has shown that both exposure to cold and some compounds can stimulate brown fat, these compounds include Ursolic Acid, Capsicum and Green Tea. Cold stimulates brown fat by increasing sympathetic nerve activity. Ursolic acid also increases sympathetic activity resulting in increased brown fat levels(Ref 86). Ursolic acid has also been shown to increase IGF1 (Bang, Seo, & Chung , 2014), which signals brown fat growth ( Tseng et al, 2005). Irisin is a hormone released by skeletal muscle that has been shown to increase both fast and slow muscle fibre size and decrease muscle atrophy Ursolic acid has been shown to increase Irisin A daily intake of 450mg Ursolic acid over 8 weeks increased Irisin by 12% and IG1 by 23% (Bang, Seo, & Chung , 2014)/ References: Tseng , Y., Butte , A., Kokkotou, E., & Yechoor, V. e.
